What is 1337?
1337 started in 2019 as a small group of editors who just wanted somewhere to share work and talk shop. It didn't stay small for long — word spread, more editors joined in, and it turned into a real community with people bringing all kinds of different styles and backgrounds to the table.
Since then it's kept evolving alongside the editing scene itself, picking up new platforms and trends without losing what it was built on: people helping each other get better at this.
These days 1337 also runs scenepacks — pre-cut footage from movies, shows, and games — so editors don't have to go hunting for clips themselves.
At the end of the day, it's not really about the tools or the resources. It's the people who show up and keep it going.

Where it all started. 1337 began in 2019 as an anime edit community and grew into one of the most recognized editing groups on Instagram — still the heart of the collective today.
1337 Inc.
The TikTok side of the collective. 1337 Inc. launched in 2025 around the "aesthetic" edit style, growing into a creative space all its own. We also provide free presets to help new editors learn the ropes and sharpen their craft.
1337 Scenes
High quality, easy to access scenepacks — made by editors, for editors. 1337 Scenes takes the hunt for footage out of editing, pulling from movies, series, and games.

Our members are carefully chosen for their creativity, skill, and dedication to editing. They are the most important part of 1337, each bringing their own unique style and experience to the group.
